DAVENTRY'S ECO FRIENDLY BUSINESSES HELP IMAGE IT TO TOP SLOT

Daventry’s local printing.com branch, Image IT, has taken the top place in the printer’s August sales promotion. Every month, the company’s head office launches a different offer across its 300 branches. During August, the nationwide promotion was on a range of recycled products, including letterheads, business cards, notepads and leaflets.

According to Mark Mundin of Image IT, “thanks to Daventry’s business community, we had an astonishing month. Our sales were over 30% higher on these products than the second placed franchise. It’s particularly gratifying as August is usually a quiet month.”

Recycled paper helps divert waste paper away from landfill sites and its manufacture is less damaging to the environment than producing paper from scratch. In fact, studies show that the production of recycled paper saves a massive 50% of the energy used in traditional paper manufacture.

Image IT and Ethos team up to Deliver IT!

Daventry companies Image IT and Ethos Recruitment have joined forces to offer a new service for companies who want to market to the local community, called Deliver IT. Graingers Charity Bike Ride

A friend of mine has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), his name is David Heaton-Ellis and he’s only 40 something years old. This is his appeal HERE. Please do watch it.

David has set-up a Charity to raise money for a DNA sequencing machine for the Neurological research team at King’s College Hospital and to then finance the research programme for the next 3 years, not that this will help his condition, but in the hope that it will prevent his Son, who is 18mths old and other generations from suffering the effects of this cruel debilitating disease.

I have, without really thinking about the consequences, (as I’m not in the best of physical condition) just signed myself up to take part in a 100 km Mountain Bike event on 3rd October 2009, to raise money for his Charity. At least I have the luxury of choosing, something David does not. So it’s on with the Lycra I’m afraid.
